OK, so she has finally started having morning sickness. It is not a fun thing at all. You know there is nothing you can really do about it, but its still a horrible feeling to have to hear her getting sick.
Well, my mother is coming to visit. This should be a fun weekend. My mom and my wife do not see eye to eye most of the time. But so far, the longer we have been married the nicer my mother has been to her. And now that, "my eggo is preggo", she is all kinds of crazy excited. Its very strange to see my mom this happy about anything. It was just never her way. Different time, different generation or whatever. I am the youngest of three, but the first to give her grand kids. Oh yeah, its going to be crazy.
Another oddity is how do you tell the people you work with without seeming like you are bragging? Seems like just about everyone I work with already has kids, is working on another one, or whatever. So I went the simple way, and told my boss. She knew I had taken a day off work to take my wife to the doctor, and wanted to know if everything was OK. Well, seems either people overheard, or she told more people because after getting to my cube I was inundated with "good job" or what not. I know I want to brag to everyone, but what is the right way to do it? Oh well. Cat is out of the bag. You can't put the honey back in the comb once its out.
